Jonathan Kerhoulas
PASTOR, TEACHING ELDER
Growing up as a pastor's kid in a rural mountain town in Western North Carolina, Jonathan felt a tug into ministry at an early age. But it wasn’t until his journey took him to urban New England that his vision for the power and beauty of the gospel took deep root.
After seminary in 2006 Jonathan and his wife Danielle moved into the city of Boston to serve on the pastoral team of a local center-city church. After nearly 10 years of working with students from many of Boston’s major universities, Jonathan and his family moved from Boston to SoCal in the fall of 2014 to serve with Redeemer San Diego. Then, after much prayer and exploration, the Redeemer leadership team sent Jonathan and a core team of around 100 people to plant Trinity SD, hosting their first service on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019.
Jonathan serves as the lead pastor for Trinity. He and his wife live in Escondido with their son Mason, daughter Penny, and youngest son Aaron. Jonathan enjoys getting his hands dirty, coaching from the sidelines of his kids games, a Facetime hang with his east coast fam, all things Justin Bieber and country music, and any outing with his wife (and high school sweetheart), Danielle.
