Lenten Resources

"The spare and sober nature of Lent is healthy for the heart and true to the gospel, scrubbing away frothy spirituality by calling us to say no to ourselves in order to experience a greater yes in Jesus. It helps to imprint the form of the cross in our lives, recognizing that the news of the risen Lord Jesus is not good without the way of the cross. Lent prepares us to experience the reality of resurrection joy only by first recognizing the depths of our sin that pinned Christ to the cross." - Philip Reinders in Seeking God's Face

At Trinity we want to encourage you to join our broader community in setting apart the 40-days of Lent as a way to say no to ourselves in order to say a greater yes to Jesus. This season is designed to assist us in experiencing a greater imprint of the cross in our lives.

Our team has put together a simple guide for this season in our "Watch & Pray" Lenten devotional guide. You can find a digital version below or choose to pick up a printed copy at our Welcome Table on a Sunday. The "Watch & Pray" guide will also encourage your participation in a range of spiritual practices that will both challenge and enhance your hunger for Christ this Lent.

We've also curated a short list of digital and print Lenten resources for individuals and families alike. We hope you'll commit to engaging with a resource that will tune your heart to the necessity of Good Friday and the redemptive promise of Easter!

Gospel In Life Lent Devotional
This devotional was originally created and compiled by Redeemer Presbyterian Church staff as daily content sent to congregants during the 40 days of Lent. Daily readings begin in Genesis and journey through the entire Scriptures, from the law to the prophets to the New Testament, showing that all Scripture is about Jesus and culminates in his life, death and resurrection. As you make this annual Lent pilgrimage, may these daily readings provide timely refreshment and renewed hope.
