Xis Ning
EARLY CHILDHOOD COORDINATOR
Xis (pronounced like the letter “c”) is one of nine children from a family of non-believers in Central Wisconsin. She attended Catholic school until the end of her Middle school education, where she cultivated a curiosity for God and Christianity. She came to Christ and was baptized the summer of her sophomore year in high school and continues to stay curious about and strives toward making the gospel a reality in her life.
Xis has a degree in Personal Finance from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. While pursuing her degree, she worked for Project Grow, under the AmeriCorps Program, in helping underprivileged preschoolers prepare for success in education. In 2018, God moved Xis and her small family from Southern Wisconsin to San Diego for her husband’s career at UCSD. Their family settled and became a part of Redeemer SD where the Lord pulled at the love for young children in Xis’ heart.
Xis and her family moved to North County San Diego at the end of July 2023 and made the decision to transition their home church to Trinity. She continued to faithfully pursue God’s calling in serving Trinity’s Toddler classroom and gained a passion for being an advocate for young children and their families. As the Early Childhood Coordinator, she works with the Children’s Ministry Director toward shaping how young children encounter Jesus as well as reclaiming their role in the larger church body.
Xis is married to Chris and has two children. In her free time she enjoys reading books, weightlifting, and playing volleyball. When she’s out and about she can be found interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, either playing games or sitting down for a chat.
